Vision Expo welcomes world practitioners

The International Vision Expo & Conference has announced new initiatives and discounts to help international visitors get the most out of the show, the educational sessions, and the host city.

Norwalk, CT-The International Vision Expo & Conference has announced new initiatives and discounts to help international visitors get the most out of the show, the educational sessions, and the host city.

Vision Expo will be held Sept. 21 to 25 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

In 2010, Vision Expo attendance from countries other than the United States increased to 13%, according to David Tobin, director of international sales at Reed Exhibitions. A total of 64 countries were represented, with the top five being Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, and China. Tobin added that the percentage of international exhibitors and global attendance is expected to increase again this year.

To assist international attendees in their travel planning, International Vision Expo is offering discounts on hotels, flights, and car rentals. In addition, International Vision Expo is facilitating the visa request process for international visitors. A non-immigrant visa invitation request form is available by going to www.visionexpowest.com in the travel section of the Web site.

Invitation requests must be received no later than 3 weeks before the event’s opening.
