Vegas golf outing set

Prevent Blindness America hopes to raise $140,000 for sight-saving programs through its fourth annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, to be held Sept. 21 at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas during Vision Expo West.

Chicago-Prevent Blindness America hopes to raise $140,000 for sight-saving programs through its Fourth Annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, to be held Sept. 21 at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas during Vision Expo West.

Transitions Optical once again will be the event’s presenting sponsor. Additional sponsors will include Advantica, Essilor, Gilbert Displays, Hilco, Hoya Vision Care, Kenmark, National Association of Vision Care Plans, Refac Optical Group, Stereo Optical, UVEX by Honeywell, Vision-Ease, Viva International, and Zyloware.

The tournament is a four-person scramble. Individual golfers may sign up for $625, and foursomes for $2,750. Those who wish to participate may register online at www.preventblindness.org/swingforesight.
