Site extols lenses

Transitions Optical Inc. has launched a new microsite on its Web site to inform consumers of the features of a line of sun lenses (NEOX Transitions SOLFX).

Pinellas Park, FL-Transitions Optical Inc. has launched a new microsite on its Web site to inform consumers of the features of a line of sun lenses (NEOX Transitions SOLFX).

Partnering in this effort are Walman and Soderberg, independent wholesale optical laboratory divisions of Walman Optical. The sun lens line is available exclusively at their network of 35 labs.

Find the new microsite at www.TransitionsSOLFX.com/NEOX. The site includes an eye-care professional (ECP) locator that allows prospective patients to find a local ECP that offers the line. To be added to the locator tool, call 877/863-2759.

“We want to make sure [site] visitors are aware of the full value of the lens and are able to purchase the product in their area,” said Craig Giles, vice president of Soderberg.

Additionally, the site features an interactive tool that allows users to see-through photos of a golfer, cyclist, runner, or tennis player-how the lenses change with changes in lighting conditions. The site also compares this brand of sun lenses to static sun lenses.

The lens debuted in 2010 and, according to the company, offers increased depth perception and improved distance vision and clarity.

“Golfers love wearing the . . . sun lens on the course because it helps them see the contours of the green and follow their ball better,” said Grady Lenski, global director, sunwear, Transitions Optical.
