Chicago-As part of Prevent Blindness America’s (PBA) “Live Right, Save Sight!” program-in conjunction with declaring November as Diabetic Eye Health Disease Awareness Month-the non-profit group is conducting an online contest seeking recipes that benefit those with diabetes.

The contest, which includes recipes that are also healthy for the eyes, will run until Nov. 30. Those interested in participating should visit preventblindness.org/diabetes to enter.

Winners will be chosen at random from all entrants that comply with the contest rules.

First prize will be awarded a $200 Amazon.com gift card, second prize will be awarded a $100 Amazon.com gift card, and third prize will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card.

The winning recipes will also be published on the “Live Right, Save Sight!” program section of PBA’s website.

“We know that diabetes and vision loss is a serious issue that continues to negatively affect millions of Americans,” said Hugh R. Parry, president and chief executive officer of PBA. “It is our hope that through the contest, we can encourage people to think about steps they can take today, even through diet modification, that can help save vision in the future.”
