PBA holds charity auction

Prevent Blindness America?s fifth annual online auction kicked off May 2, and runs until May 25. The auction gives the public the opportunity to help fund sight-saving services by bidding on and purchasing a wide variety of donated items. Participants may either bid on an item or purchase it immediately. All proceeds from the auction will go to fund vision and eye health education programs across the country.

Chicago-Prevent Blindness America’s (PBA's) fifth annual online auction kicked off May 2 and runs until May 25. The auction gives the public the opportunity to help fund sight-saving services by bidding on and purchasing a wide variety of donated items. Participants may either bid on an item or purchase it immediately.

The items available include:

  • A 4-night stay at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui
  • A 3-night stay at the Venetian or Palazzo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas
  • Autographed Photos of Betty White, Leah Remini, Quincy Jones, and others
  • A round of golf for two at Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas
  • Callaway Golf Clubs
  • Four tickets to tapings of the “Dr. Phil Show” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live”
  • Twenty-one meals (7 days’ worth) from Seattle Sutton Healthy Eating
  • Organic Coffee gift box, including tote and 2 pounds of coffee
  • Halloweentown III script signed by Debbie Reynolds
  • Jim Palmer Autographed Baseball

Bidders may log on to www.preventblindness.net/auction. All proceeds from the auction will go to fund vision and eye health education programs across the country.
