Nidek specular microscope receives 510(k) clearance

The FDA has issued 510(k) Clearance for Nidek’s new CEM-530 specular microscope.

 

Fremont, CA-The FDA has issued 510(k) Clearance for Nidek’s new CEM-530 specular microscope.

The microscope-which captures images of the corneal endothelium-utilizes auto-tracking capabilities, which make the acquisition more speedy and straightforward.

“We are pleased to have this clearance, and confident the results reflect the quality of our diagnostic tools in corneal referencing and early diagnosis of endothelial disease,” said Motoki Ozama, president of Nidek.
