New e-commerce site

Accutome has launched a new e-commerce Web site, www.accutome.com, that features more than 2,500 ophthalmic products.

Malvern, PA-Accutome has launched a new e-commerce Web site, www.accutome.com, that features more than 2,500 ophthalmic products.

“Traditionally, our business has been conducted over the phone,” said James O’Connor, marketing manager for the company. “Smartphones, tablets, and even electronic medical records have placed a greater demand for online shopping for ophthalmic supplies.”

The Web site has been tailored to meet the needs of specific ophthalmic facilities, according to the company. Surgery centers can purchase all of their single-use items, as well as surgical instrument and diamond knives. Ophthalmic offices can order all of their diagnostic and therapeutic drops, including generic antibiotics.

The Web site also features a variety of supplies-including bulbs, batteries, eye charts, and paper products-as well as product instructions and videos.

Customers can manage their accounts and track their shipments via the Web.
