Dr. Dana named MEEI director of cornea, refractive surgery

Boston-The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) appointed Reza Dana, MD, MSc, MPH, of Cambridge, MA, as director of its cornea and refractive surgery service. Dr. Dana has been an associate surgeon at MEEI since 2001 and has served as acting director of the cornea and refractive surgery service since April.

He is an associate professor and senior scientist at Harvard Medical School and specializes in the cornea and external diseases, ocular inflammation and uveitis, and corneal transplantation.

Dr. Dana received a doctor of medicine and a master of public health degree from Johns Hopkins University and completed his residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. In addition, he completed fellowships in both cornea and external diseases, and immunology and uveitis, at the Wills Eye Hospital and MEEI, respectively. Dr. Dana also holds a master's degree in healthcare management from Harvard University.
