Costa unveils 580 Rx sun lenses

Costa has created a prescription sun lens program using the company?s proprietary 580 lens in two proprietary materials: Trivex and glass.

Daytona Beach, FL-Costa has created a prescription sun lens program using the company’s proprietary 580 lens in two proprietary materials: Trivex and glass.

Costa’s patented polarized 580 lens blocks yellow light at 580 nm on the light spectrum. According to the company, this results in exceptional visual clarity, high levels of polarization efficiency, and sharp color enhancement. In addition, the lenses feature an oleophobic and hydrophobic coating to enhance scratch resistance while repelling water, oil, and dust.

Costa also announced that eye care professionals can now order lenses directly through the company rather than through a third-party optical processing lab. Eye care professionals can fax Costa directly at 855/267-8280, or by email at costarx@costadelmar.com to place their Costa prescription order.
