ASCRS Foundation eligible in CFC list

Beginning in 2012, federal employees will be able to donate to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Foundation through payroll deductions. ?The ASCRS Foundation is pleased to be eligible for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) charity list,? said ASCRS Chairman Richard Lindstrom, MD.

Fairfax, VA-Beginning in 2012, federal employees will be able to donate to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Foundation through payroll deductions.

“The ASCRS Foundation is pleased to be eligible for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) charity list,” said ASCRS Chairman Richard Lindstrom, MD. “Our humanitarian work in Africa and China, combined with our ongoing research programs and public education work, makes the ASCRS Foundation a worthy consideration for anyone interested in supporting eye care and ophthalmology.”

The CFC payroll donor deduction plan is available to federal employees, including military personnel and employees of federal contractors. The ASCRS Foundation passed a rigorous review process to qualify as a national/international charity-the only designation that allows all federal employees, whether working at home or abroad, to donate. Sign-up periods for payroll deductions generally begin in mid-September for the following year.
