AMO extends treatment range for silicone IOL

Santa Ana, CA-Advanced Medical Optics Inc. (AMO) is offering an extended low-diopter and plano range of its Array silicone IOL.

Santa Ana, CA-Advanced Medical Optics Inc. (AMO) is offering an extended low-diopter and plano range of its Array silicone IOL.

The July 22 launch means cataract surgeons using the Array can work in 0.5-D increments from -10 to 5.5 D, including plano. The device previously was offered for the 6 to 30 D range.

The new series includes OptiEdge, AMO's patented technology designed to reduce internal reflections and edge glare.
