Zeiss Vision promotes Howard, Packham

Petaluma, CA-Carl Zeiss Vision has announced that Frederick Howard has been named president and general manager, Americas. He replaces Barry Packham, PhD, who has moved into the newly created role of executive vice president, global operations.

Petaluma, CA-Carl Zeiss Vision has announced that Frederick Howard has been named president and general manager, Americas. He replaces Barry Packham, PhD, who has moved into the newly created role of executive vice president, global operations.

Howard comes to Zeiss Vision following a 25-year career with Procter and Gamble, where he was most recently senior vice president for North America. Among his achievements there was the successful implementation of sustained growth strategies for several product lines.

Dr. Packham's new responsibilities will involve the management and restructuring into a single global operations organization of various regional and global functions, including mass manufacturing, production engineering, quality management, and aspects of prescription production.
