From the show floor

Breaking news from Day 1 of ESCRS

A quartet of solutions for surgeons

Four new products launched at today's show to help facilitate surgeons’ daily work included a new modular phaco machine for cataract surgery and solution for posterior vitrectomy, a new single-piece hydrophilic pre-loaded IOL, a new viscoelastic and a new lubricant and contact agent for the protection of the corneal surface during surgery. The quartet have all been launched by Croma.

At the sharp end

Hoya Surgical Products now has, what it claims to be, the Sharpest Edge on the market. The yellow aspheric blue-light filter IOLS iSymm has undergone a unique manufacturing process which makes it the sharpest of all commercially available IOLs currently in the market.

An all in one optical biometer

The LENSTAR LS900® was introduced at last year's ESCRS and provides the user with a complete biometrical assessment of the patient’s eye in a single measurement procedure, including lens thickness, anterior chamber depth (lens position) and retinal thickness.
