Penn State Hershey Eye Center formed

The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine have combined their clinical care, research, and education programs to form the Penn State Hershey Eye Center.

Hershey, PA-The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine have combined their clinical care, research, and education programs to form the Penn State Hershey Eye Center.

"The establishment of Penn State Hershey Eye Center reflects the emergence of an institution-wide eye and vision community committed to working together as clinicians, researchers, and educators to advance our patient care, research, education, and service missions," said David A. Quillen, MD, director of the new center.

Harold L. Paz, MD, Penn State's senior vice president for health affairs, dean of the medical school, and chief executive officer of the medical center, said, "The creation of Penn State Hershey Eye Center means increased partnerships with researchers and eye-care specialists throughout Pennsylvania, guaranteeing that the eye care offered to our patients will only be enhanced."
