Paradise, CA-Fashion Optical Displays (FOD) has been sold to three of its veteran executives.

Lori Estrada, Elizabeth Henton, and Matthew Kiraly have purchased the company, which specializes in the design and manufacturing of American-made wood and laminate ophthalmic furnishings, from Katherine Maxwell and Ed Muehlberger, who are retiring.

Henton joined the company in 1983 and will retain her current position as chief executive officer. Estrada also joined the company in 1983 and will remain design and sales manager. Kiraly, who joined the company in 1992, manages the company’s research and design, promotion, and marketing departments.

Founded in 1978, FOD offers design and layout services, interior design, and custom manufacturing of dispensing, exam, and lab furnishings and optical displays.

“It is our goal to maintain our high-quality services and products that will keep the company as one of the nation’s preeminent players in the ophthalmic marketplace,” Kiraly said. “By retaining all of our employees, we have the well-trained staff in place to ensure a continuation of our expertise in creating innovative ophthalmic displays.”
