CEBF virtual symposium showcases vision research from three Northeast Ohio institutions

Nine researchers from three eye institutions will present their most current studies and breakthroughs against leading blinding eye diseases.

Cleveland Eye Bank Foundation (CEBF) will feature nine researchers from three eye institutions on February 15, from 3 to 5 pm Eastern, for its second annual virtual vision research symposium.

Leading researchers from three of Northeast Ohio’s medical institutions—Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, University Hospitals Eye Institute, and Akron Children’s Hospital Vision Center—will present their most current studies and breakthroughs against leading blinding eye diseases including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and children’s vision issues.

“Funding provided by CEBF is critical for our mission to improve our understanding and find cures for diseases causing blindness,” said Bela Anand-Apte, MBBS, PhD, MBA, symposium moderator. “We look forward to sharing some of the progress we have made this past year.”
