Bausch + Lomb launches Infuse Multifocal SiHy daily disposable contact lenses in the US

Bausch + Lomb announced the United States launch of their Infuse Multifocal silicone hydrogel (SiHy) daily disposable contact lenses. The lenses leverage Bausch + Lomb’s ProBalance Technology and their proprietary 3-Zone Progressive design to deliver all-day comfort and seamless transitions across near, intermediate, and distance vision in the hopes of meeting the dynamic vision needs of patients with presbyopia.¹

Made with kalifilcon A, a next generation SiHy daily disposable lens material, the Infuse Mulitifocal lens combines breathability with a low modulus and high moisture, which results in 96% moisture retention for a full 16 hours.⁵ The lens technology combines ingredients that were found within the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society’s DEWS II report to maintain ocular surface homeostasis and minimize lens dryness, and Bausch + Lomb’s unique ProBalance Technology releases the moisturizing cocktail throughout lens wear for all-day comfort. Thanks to the unique 3-Zone Progressive design, a survey found that 90% of presbyopic patients reported effortless transitions between tasks throughout the day.⁶

In addition to rave reviews from study participants, eye care professionals reported success with the Infuse Multifocal SiHy contact lenses: Through a survey, practitioners agreed that the lenses were easy to fit for 99% of patients.⁷

With daily disposable lenses, sustainability is always in question.
