Advanced refractive cataract surgery now an option
Miami-A combination of factors has given rise to a hybrid ophthalmologic specialty called advanced or refractive cataract surgery, which offers surgeons and patients a multitude of new options for visual improvement, according to William W. Culbertson, MD, professor of ophthalmology and holder of the Lou Higgins Distinguished Chair in Ophthalmology, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami.
